Hello, this is a bit off-topic, but I am a Nivens from the USA and I’m trying to find some information about the origin of the surname in Scotland. Do you have any information about the origin and region of the name and/or sept and clan information? Also, do you know about a branch in your family tree jumping the pond to America in the 1700s? Do you know of any relationship between MacNiven or Nevin to the Campbells or Cummins? Any info you have would be greatly appreciated
